An entrepreneur deals with various forms of corruption over his ten year journey to open a business school. Many of the issues relate to the exploitation of political clout and bribery as he tries to secure land and obtain accreditation for the school. He tries to use networks to influence the outcome and is successful to a degree but finally resorts to a much more extreme solution. Deals with issues of bribery, political clout, power & influence, social entrepreneurship, utilizing networks, innovative solutions and ethics. The case works well in social entrepreneurship, strategy, organizational behavior, leadership, and non-profit management courses, as well as in stand-alone workshops.
