Problem Description:
Since the company has faced reduced sales over the recent years, its growth has become stagnant, and its current market share has also been reduced. The most pertinent problem which can be considered as the cause of this underperformance is the disrupted employees’ dedication and workplace satisfaction due to the rigid organizational structure. Since, there has been cut-throat competition for the market share, with the competitors like Coca-Cola, the company preferred the figures over the satisfaction of its employees. The employees’ burnout reduced their efficiency and commitment towards the organization. Operational employees who actually execute the sales were more influenced by the rigid command and control culture. Employees’ dissatisfaction had fostered the rigid leadership at managerial level, reduced autonomy and individual flexibility, low employee engagement in decision making, reduced chances of promotion within the organization and ill-suited reward system.

Rigid Leadership:
Leadership has significant influence over the lower level employees’ physiological health and attitudes towards the duties. Leadership sets the foundation and then direction of the organizational culture defining the norms of the organization. Furthermore, subordinates are significantly influenced by the values and behaviors of the leaders. Hence, this becomes a two-way association which demands alignment of interests and attitudes of both the parties
